One Fund, One Future: The Unity Fund

At Inner City Youth Alive we believe that leadership should come from within the community. That’s why we created the Unity Fund—a new way of supporting our team that puts mission first and breaks down barriers for local leaders. 

What is the Unity Fund? 

The Unity Fund is a shared fundraising model that ensures every ICYA staff member can step into their calling—regardless of who they know or where they come from. 

Rather than raising individual salaries, our team members write four letters a year to their communities and networks. All funds raised go into one shared pot, and from there, the money is distributed across the ICYA team. 

This means no one is left behind. Every staff member, including local leaders from the North End, can focus on building relationships, mentoring youth, and creating change—without delay.

The Unity Fund works because of people like you—people who see the power of local leadership and want to invest in a better future for our friends in the North End.
