Cheyanne Ramirez
In 2023, I had the opportunity to work with the Bridge summer program and St. Aiden's Christian school, located at Inner City Youth Alive, where I grew in my faith through serving others and being actively involved in my community. Over the next two years, my life changed dramatically as I became the mother of two daughters, Valentina and Vanellope, at a very young age. While these past seasons brought new challenges and responsibilities, they also strengthened my faith. I chose to continue trusting God, allowing Him to guide my path and reveal His plan for my life, believing that in every step both the struggles and the blessings have a purpose.
Today, I work with youth, helping them regain focus in school and believe in
their potential. This role is especially meaningful to me because I once struggled deeply in high school with skipping classes, earning poor grades, and feeling disconnected from my education, until I realized what was truly best for me. Through my own experiences, I am able to relate to the challenges these students face and encourage them with empathy, understanding, and hope.
I am truly grateful to be a part of the ICYA team, which continues to support my growth in faith, and leadership, and I can't wait to see what the God has in store for my future here in the inner city!
