The Bridge Drop-in is a recreational centre for programs and physical activities, a place for kids to hang out, feel safe and accepted. It is ICYA’s first point of contact where we seek to provide a relational bridge between kids and Christian role models and mentors. The Bridge has anywhere from 20 – 50 kids per night taking advantage of the safe and accepting environment. A climbing wall, basketball and volleyball court, hockey, lounge area, canteen, craft room, and so much more to keep kids active and entertained. The drop-in meets the needs of children and youth at various levels.

Meals for Kids
The Meals for Kids program provides healthy, nutritious meals in a safe and monitored environment on Bridge Drop-in evenings to the children in the community. Many children in the North End experience poverty, abuse and neglect, and as a result, do not eat properly or may go hungry. Our goal is to provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment, where children can engage with each other and adults while having a healthy meal. The program is designed to be more than a meal.

Two weeks of day camp have come and gone. Over sixty kids joined us for our Everest themed DVBS. We sang songs about God’s power and love, learned verses that reminded us to look to God when we are in need, and discovered more about God through the story of Elijah. Day camps has been a huge success thus far. The Bridge team is now working on preparing for our third and final week of day camp. This next one is geared towards junior teens, and instead of a typical DVBS program, we will be teaching various electives alongside Bible study and worship. We look forward to ending the summer strong! For pictures see: DVBS...
Summer break is right around the corner, and with it comes a few changes to our usual drop-in programming. The Monday Junior Teens night and the Wednesday Young Adults night will be closing down at the end of June, while our Tuesday and Thursday drop-in will run up to mid-July. As soon as our Thursday drop in closes, the younger kids in the community can look forward to our day camps which will be starting up right away. We are excited to share that our Saturday night programming will continue throughout the whole summer in order to give the teens a safe and fun place to spend time at over the weekends. Some other notable events coming up include: the annual ICYA 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament on June 23, and our Community Block Party on June...
