Job Title: Camp Program Coordinator

This person is a member of the Camp Team, and will work closely with the Camp Director. This person will maintain a balance in their connection to the programs at Inner City Youth Alive (ICYA) and their time at Gem Lake.

Camp Program:

• Being responsible for overall activity and program while at camp. This will include having the summer theme and program written and approved by the Camp Director before camp begins. Also responsible for planning a balanced meal menu, ensuring the health and safety of campers while at camp as well as creating a warm, loving environment where campers can grow spiritually, physically, socially and mentally.
• Facilitate the sign-up of campers for Gem Lake as well as conduct follow-ups with campers after the camping season.
• Keep records of all youth who are involved in the camp program
• Actively recruit summer staff and volunteers through local churches and Bible school/college recruitment fairs.
• Along with the Camp Director, ensure adequate training and supervision of staff and volunteers while at camp.
• Acquire necessary requirements to operate camp vehicles including class 4 license and boater's license.

Other Responsibilities:

• Assist with one night of programming at ICYA during the winter months.
• Engage with local youth through active 1:1 connections during the winter months.
• Develop & maintain professional relationships with campers' parents.
• Assist the Camp Director in the running of the winter camp program.

Personal:

• Maintaining a vibrant spiritual life in accordance to the Lifestyle Requirements ICYA.
• To seek out training opportunities that will better equip him/her for the ministry.
• Raise and maintain their own support in accordance to the salary scale of ICYA and keep ongoing contact with supporters through prayer letters and personal contact.

Accountability:

• Will report to the Camp Director for the purpose of evaluation, supervision and prayer.
